Who we are

Lit Buy Jordan is an editorial desk based in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 2021. We cover Air Jordan sneakers the way a small product-testing magazine covers anything else: we order the pairs, we measure them, we walk in them, and we write down what happened.

The desk started as a shared spreadsheet. Marcus Delgado, our editor in chief, spent nine years buying footwear for a Midwest running and basketball chain, and kept a private log of how different Jordan silhouettes actually fit compared with their listed size. Friends kept asking for it. In 2021 the spreadsheet became a site, with a bench, a scale and a rule that no pair gets a score until it has been worn for ten days.

How the desk is set up

Three editors run the site. Marcus handles the running order and the final scores. Priya Raghavan, our reviews editor, runs the ten-day wear blocks and the fit measurements. Caleb Norris, our research editor, tracks order timing, resale price movement, box and label data, and the comparison tables.

We buy at retail first. When a pair is sold out at retail, we order through buying agents and record the full timeline, including agent fees and any hold time at the warehouse. Those costs appear in the review, because a pair that takes 19 days to arrive is a different purchase from one that takes 6.

What we do not do

We do not sell sneakers. We do not accept payment for a score, and we do not let a brand, a reseller or a buying agent see a review before publication. Pairs we buy stay in our archive; review samples sent by a brand are returned or donated after testing, and that is noted in the review.

Corrections and contact

If we get something wrong, tell us at editorial@litbuyjordan.com and we will check it against the bench log. Our corrections policy, review methodology and affiliate disclosure are published as separate pages.

Our coverage focus

We explain Air Jordan fit and condition through measured pairs, wear notes and dated purchase costs. Box labels and construction details are recorded as observations; an authenticity conclusion needs more than a familiar label or a photograph.
