Editorial policy
Lit Buy Jordan publishes hands-on reviews, fit data and buying guidance for Air Jordan sneakers. Our editorial desk is in Chicago, Illinois, and our first reviews ran in 2021.
Independence of the score
Scores are set by the editor in chief after the ten-day wear block closes, using the bench log and the comparison table. No brand, retailer, buying agent or affiliate partner sees a score or a draft before publication, and none of them can change one afterwards. Commercial links are added by the research desk after the score is locked.
What we buy, and what we are sent
We order most pairs ourselves at retail or through buying agents. When a brand or retailer sends a review sample, we test it the same way, note in the review that the sample was supplied, and return or donate it afterwards. Supplied and purchased pairs are assessed against the same criteria and equivalent conditions. A sample arrangement must not improve or reduce a score by itself.
People and bylines
Every article carries a byline. Author pages list the editor's beat, years covering the niche and the tests they personally run. Contributors who leave the desk keep their published bylines, and their pages are marked as archived.
Sources and data
We cite retail launch dates, manufacturer size charts, our own caliper and scale readings, and order-timing logs. Resale price ranges come from our own purchase records and are dated in the review. Where we quote an outside figure, we name the source in the review body.
Reviews of pairs we cannot verify
Some colorways are limited to regions we cannot buy from. Those articles are published as buying guides with no score, and the page says so plainly at the top.
Ratings use the full five-point scale: 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor and 1 very poor. Explain the criteria and relevant measurements; use an unscored guide when essential evidence is unavailable.
